Subsequently, the seven principal leaders of the first batch of AI4S projects — Professor Wang Chu from the College of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering, Assistant Professor Yu Ke from the School of Environment and Energy at Shenzhen Graduate School, Professor Zou Ruqiang from the School of New Materials, Professor Lin Yihan from the Academy for Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies, Professor Zhang Wenbin from the College of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering, Associate Professor Mo Fanyang from the School of Materials Science and Engineering, and Professor Mao Youdong from the School of Physics — delivered special reports on their respective projects, covering research progress, technical advantages, and future development prospects. Academician Zhang Jin highly recognized the work of the project teams. Director Zhang Meng also expressed her expectations for and support of the AI4S projects, hoping to have the opportunity to participate in cooperation in the future to jointly promote innovation and development in the AI4S industry.
Professor Tian Yonghong summarized the meeting. He stated that the successful launch of the AI4S projects would not have been possible without the joint efforts and support of all leaders and participants. In the future, more cooperation models will be explored, such as introducing enterprises as PI (Principal Investigator) partners to participate in projects. The AI4S Task Force will play a vital role as a bridge and link to promote the industrialization of AI4S projects toward deeper and more efficient development.
