Biography

Weihao Yu is an Assistant Professor and PhD Advisor at the Shenzhen Graduate School, Peking University. He has been selected for thenationalhigh-levelyoungtalentprogram and has been listed among Stanford Top 2% Scientistsworldwide. He has also received several honors, includingGoogle TRC Research Spotlight, Snap Research Fellowship, and ByteDance Top Seed Talent Program.His research focuses on Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, with interests including EmbodiedAI, Large Multimodal Models and Agents, and Neural Network Architectures. His publications have received over 10,000 citations, with two first-author papers each cited more than 1,000 times. Representative works include MetaFormer, MM-Vet, and MambaOut. Several AI models he developedhave been integrated into major international open-source libraries such as Hugging Face Transformers and PyTorch Image Models (timm).

Basic Requirements for Prospective Graduate Students

For admissions under theAI for Science(Computer Science and Technology) program, we expect prospective students to meet the following basic requirements:

1. Strong self-motivation, exploratory mindset, and continuous learning ability;

2. Solid engineering skills, with the ability to implement research ideas and conduct experimental validation;

3. Background in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, or related disciplines.Applicants from other disciplines are also welcome if they demonstrate strong programming, algorithmic, or robotics engineering skills;

4. Preferred qualifications include awards in computer science, mathematics, or robotics-related competitions, as well as research experience, publications, or open-source projects.
